Google plus keyboard shortcuts
Google Plus Keyboard Shortcuts
Hello Friends as you might be knowing Google+ is one of the fastest growing social media in the world. It has passed 500 million members, the company revealed in a blog post in dec 2012. Of these users, 135 million are said to be actively visiting the social network each month. I think its the future of social network. If you are not using it you are missing something really important.
But for guys who are already into it I have created a set of keyboard shortcuts for navigating through this giant (Google+) and make you most out of it. Below are the shortcuts.
Google+ Shortcut Keys
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| J | Stream to the next post by your circles |
| K | Stream to the previous post by your circles |
| N | Next comment on current post |
| p | Previous comment on current post |
| Q | Move to Chat section |
| Pressing Q twice moves your cursor to the Search Box in the “chat” section of Google+ | |
| Space Bar | Regular Scroll Down |
| Space + Shift | Regular Scroll Up |
| Enter | When a stream update is selected Enter moves your cursor to the comment box |
| Enter + Tab | Submit comment |
| @ / + | @ or + followed by a username is used to mention someone in a post or share the post with them |
Text Formatting
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| * | Use * at start and end of text to make it bold. Eg: *This will be bold in Google+* |
| _ (underscore) | Use _ to make text italic Eg: _This will be in italics_ |
| - (hyphen) | Use – to make text strike through. Eg: |

I love the tips. Although the @ symbol does work when trying to ping another user, it is better if you use the + sign.
Thanks Peter for your like and suggestion. (+ is also a good option)
Very good list to help speed up your daily Google+ adventures! I didn’t know how to make italics until you weeding it out for me and I bet most people do not know half of these shortcuts. Thanks Nishant good work.

Dear admin,
Your brief article about Google+ shortcuts is very useful. Although I am a first generation Google+ user and already knew and used most of the shortcuts, thanks to you I learned few new ones which will be using from now on.
In addition to being grateful to you, I have a friendly suggestion. When you write a good article, people will automatically +1 it and will share it if they want to do so. It is not necessary (and not professional at all) to explicitly ask them to share your work. Of course, that’s just a suggestion and accepting or rejecting it is quite up to you.
Wishing you health, wealth, and happiness,
Alex Anderson
@Alex Thanks a lot for your like and advice. I will take care in future.
